About Ron Burch

Ron Burch lives in Los Angeles, where he works in film and television. From 2015-2018, he was an Executive Producer/Showrunner on Dinotrux, a DreamWorks Animation TV show for Netflix. His movies include Ferdinand, Head Over Heels, Yours, Mine, and Ours, and Meeting Matt Damon (short). He won a Humanitas Award for Ferdinand.

His plays have had over 125 ten-minute and full-length play productions. Several short plays were published in anthologies including The Best Ten-Minute Plays 2011, 2013 – 2016, Smith & Kraus; Best of Playground Los Angeles 2013, 2015; and One Minute Plays: A Practical Guide to Tiny Theatre, Routledge, 2017.

His short stories have appeared in print and on-line at The Mississippi Review, The Saint Ann’s Review, Pear Noir, theNewerYork, Pank, ElevenEleven, and other places; he has been nominated for The Pushcart Prize and his first novel, Bliss Inc., was published by BlazeVOX Books in 2010, who also published his novel, JDP, in 2021.

Ron is a member of The Animation Guild, Writers Guild of America West, ASCAP, the Alliance of Los Angeles Playwrights, the 2014-15 PlayGround Writers Pool and one of the Associate Directors of the Skylight Theatre’s PlayLabs in Los Angeles, CA.
